China has officially filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) against the US for imposing "reciprocal" tariffs on Chinese goods.
The move follows the US' announcement on April 2 to levy such tariffs on all trading partners, including China.
A spokesperson from China's Ministry of Commerce said the US violated WTO rules: "It is a typical unilateral bullying practice that endangers the stability of the global economic and trade order."
China urged the US to reverse its "unilateral tariff measures."
