Henry Schein (HSIC) said Monday its near-term and long-term emissions reduction goals have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, with a verified net-zero target by 2050.
The company said it plans to reduce absolute scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% compared to 2022, source 100% of its electricity from renewable sources, and reduce scope 3 emissions by 51.6% per million dollars of gross profit by 2030.
For its long-term 2050 net-zero target, Henry Schein said it plans to reduce scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions by 90%, maintain 100% renewable electricity sourcing, and reduce scope 3 emissions by 97% per million dollars of gross profit.
