HD Hyundai (KRX:267250) signed a memorandum of understanding with US defense technology firm Anduril Industries to co-develop and commercialize unmanned surface vessels, Yonhap News reported Friday.

The collaboration will merge Hyundai's autonomous navigation systems with Anduril's AI-powered mission technologies. Hyundai will focus on automation for navigation, propulsion, and safety, while Anduril will handle mission automation, the report said.

Shares of HD Hyundai fell nearly 4% in recent trade on Monday.
