ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Signs $2.3 Billion in Long-Term Charter Agreements

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services (ZIM) said Monday it has signed long-term charter agreements worth about $2.3 billion for 10 liquefied natural gas container ships.

Seven of the vessels will be chartered to ZIM by Containers Ventures, an affiliate of the TMS Group, while the other three will be chartered by a shipping company affiliated with Kenon, which was ZIM's largest shareholder until the end of 2024, the company said.

ZIM said the ships will be built at Zhoushan Changhong Shipyard in China, with delivery expected between 2027 and 2028.

Shares of the company were up 2.6% in recent trading.
