MW Selena Gomez's fiancé Benny Blanco sells his NYC bachelor pad for $3.6 million

The couple have recently purchased a pricey 7-bedroom, 12- bath mansion in an off-market deal

Music producer Benny Blanco has sold his longtime New York bachelor pad for $3.6 million-just weeks after he and fiancée Selena Gomez purchased a $35 million Beverly Hills mansion that will likely serve as their marital home.

The 37-year-old, who popped the question to singer and actress Gomez, 32, in December 2024, initially put his 2,200-square-foot condo on the market in May 2024, five months after the couple publicly confirmed their relationship for the first time.

Blanco, who is the mastermind behind multiple hit songs, including Rihanna's "Diamonds" and Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," originally listed his condo for $3.99 million but chopped that price to $3.75 million just three months later.

Now, records reveal that he has finally secured a sale-albeit for the discounted price of $3.6 million, with the deal officially closing on March 27.

His decision to accept a lower offer means that Blanco's potential profit on the sale has been drastically reduced, particularly given that he invested a hefty sum in a gut renovation of the dwelling, adding more contemporary finishes and creating a more versatile, open-plan layout.

In the great room area, there's an all-white open kitchen, highlighted by a dining peninsula and top-of-the-line, stainless steel appliances.

All bedrooms have been customized to Blanco's taste. The primary is entered via 9-foot, white-oak doors and is enhanced by a walk-in closet, a windowed desk area, and a distinctive black-and-walnut bathroom.

A second bedroom features an en suite marble bathroom and custom built-ins, while the third bedroom is being used as an office, with built-in, white-oak bookcases and a Murphy bed for guests.

The condo is in the historic Chelsea Mercantile building on Seventh Avenue, which was originally built in 1908 as The National Cloak and Suit Company's clothing mail-order house.

Today, it's an upscale condo building with amenities, including a 24-hour doorman, concierge, garage, gym, a 10,000-square-foot landscaped roof deck, a children's playroom, valet service, and a conference room.

As the name indicates, it's situated in the Chelsea neighborhood, famous for its art galleries, trendy restaurants, and most notably, the landmark High Line park.

However, the condo is a far cry from the enormous dwelling that Blanco and Gomez purchased in the same week that they shared their engagement news with the world.

That home, which they bought for $35 million, boasts seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, and is located in the exclusive neighborhood of Beverly Hills.

The Spanish-inspired, opulent pad features a spiral staircase and library. Outside the mansion, there is a fitness center, pool, and a glass greenhouse solarium, which is a nod to Blanco's green thumb; the singer has been known to use his garden to give back to the community.

The property is surrounded by lush landscaping and features sophisticated stone flooring encompassing the pool.

Gomez and Blanco purchased the property in an off-market deal that was carried out via an LLC that is associated with the music producer's business manager.

The property was last sold in August 2021, when it was picked up for $30.7 million.

At the time, it was described in its listing as a "true masterwork" and a "perfect combination of authentic details, fine craftsmanship, and the best modern amenities."

The listing noted that the home features an array of different living spaces, including a "fairy tale playroom" and a "sensational living room."

News of Gomez and Blanco's lavish purchase came not long after the songstress revealed the pair had gotten engaged by boasting her sparkling rock on Instagram.

"Forever begins now," she captioned the loved-up snaps of herself showing off the ring and cozying up to Blanco.

Blanco previously revealed that he knew Gomez was going to be his wife during the early days of their relationship, with him telling Interview magazine he even told his mom he would be "marrying" the songstress.

"The second we started hanging out, I was like, 'This is my wife,' I was telling my mom, 'This is the girl I'm going to marry,'" he said.

The couple had previously collaborated on a slew of musical projects; however, they first sparked romance rumors in mid 2023, months before confirming their relationship in December of that year, revealing on social media that had been seeing each other for "six months."

In addition to her new Beverly Hills property with Blanco, Gomez also holds the keys to a 9,000-square-foot property SoCal estate, which she purchased for $4.9 million in 2020, and four-bedroom, four-bath, 3,500-square-foot property in Los Angeles' Woodland Hills neighborhood-a house she snapped up for $1.8 million in 2017.

Gomez has also owned many other homes. She spent the COVID-19 pandemic hunkered down in a cute, four-bedroom abode in Studio City, Calif., that she picked up in 2017 for $2.24 million. Then, in August 2020, she unloaded it for a small profit, selling it for just under $2.37 million.

She also had a brief stint in the celebrity enclave of Calabasas, Calif., buying up a place in 2014 for $3.7 million that ended up back on the market in 2015 for $4.5 million.

In 2011, while still a teen, Gomez's parents, through a trust, reportedly picked up a San Fernando Valley home, where the young star lived for a time. It came on the market for $3.49 million in 2014 and sold for $3.45 million.

The "Spring Breakers" star also briefly owned a home in Fort Worth, Texas. She picked up a sprawling spread in 2015 as a spot to stay while she visited family, but she didn't hang on to it long. She placed the 10,000-square-foot property on the market in 2018 for $3 million, knocking it down to $2.7 million a few months later, when it finally sold.
