Petrobras (PBR) said it has received a license to operate a fauna care and rehabilitation unit in the municipality of Oiapoque in Brazil's Amapa state.
The construction of the unit was part of the environmental licensing process for a planned offshore drilling project, the Brazilian state-run oil company said.
To start the operation, it is still required to undergo an inspection by Ibama. Petrobras said it has informed the regulatory agency that the facility is available for inspection as Monday.
