Getty Images (GETY) and Shutterstock (SSTK) said late Wednesday they received second requests for additional information and documentary material from the US Department of Justice in connection with their proposed merger.

The requests effectively extend the waiting period imposed by antitrust laws until 30 days after Getty Images and Shutterstock have complied, the companies said.

The deal remains subject to Shutterstock shareholder approval as well as approval by regulators, the companies said.
