Canadian Pacific Kansas City Sells Panama Canal Railway to Maersk Unit

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CP) said Wednesday that it Lanco Group/Mi-Jack have sold Panama Canal Railway to APM Terminals, a unit of A.P. Moller - Maersk.

Panama Canal Railway, a railroad that provides ocean-to-ocean freight and passenger services along the Panama Canal, generated revenue of $77 million and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization of $36 million in 2024, Canadian Pacific said.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
