Conagra Brands will collaborate with Bloom Energy to power production facilities in Ohio.

The maker of Slim Jim and other meat stick brands said it will utilize Bloom's fuel cell technology at its Troy and Archbold production facilities. The 15-year power purchase agreement will supply between 70% and 75% of the electricity needs at the facilities with a projected 19% decrease in their greenhouse gas emissions, it added.

Christine Daugherty, vice president of sustainability at Conagra, said the technology will support the company's pursuit of renewable energy solutions and a reduction in its environmental footprint.
