UPDATE 1-Fire put out at PBF Martinez refinery in California

Adds background and details

April 3 (Reuters) - A fire at PBF Energy's PBF.N Martinez, California refinery that injured one person has been put out, the refinery said.

"A portable generator at the refinery caught on fire while being refueled by a contract worker, who was transported offsite for medical evaluation and treatment," the Martinez Refining Company said in a Facebook post.

The fire was unrelated to any of the process units and it is currently investigating the incident, it said.

The Contra Costa Health Services $(CCH.UK)$ in a post on social media platform X said that it has asked the refinery to submit a 72-hour report.

This is the second fire at the 156,400 barrel-per-day (bpd)refinery this year. In February, a fire broke out near the refinery's 77,500-bpd cat feed hydrotreater.
