Evolution Mining Says Western Australia Gold Mine Mill Begins Commissioning After Expansion

Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) said the commissioning of the mill at the Mungari gold mine in Western Australia began after the process plant capacity was expanded to 4.2 million tonnes per annum from 2 million tonnes per annum, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The project team at the mill handed over to the operations team. Commissioning is set to continue through the June quarter, the filing said.

The current estimated final cost of the expansion is AU$228 million.

The expansion will allow the mine life of the Mungari mine to be extended to at least 2038, per the filing.
