WR Berkley appoints Selective's MacMullin as president of Berkley Luxury Group

April 2 - (The Insurer) - WR Berkley Corporation has appointed Michael MacMullin, former vice president of commercial lines product at Selective Insurance, as president of Berkley Luxury Group, succeeding Shadi Albert, effective immediately.

MacMullin has over 25 years of experience in the industry. He has held various roles at Selective and Chubb in the commercial insurance space, most recently leading all aspects of strategic portfolio initiatives and the product management lifecycle.

Albert, who MacMullin is replacing, will remain a part of the company.

“We thank (Albert) for his leadership of Berkley Luxury Group and look forward to his further contributions to Berkley as he takes on new responsibilities," said Robert Berkley, president and chief executive officer of WR Berkley Corporation.

In March, WR Berkley hired Heath Kidd, former vice president at Liberty Mutual, as executive vice president.
