Venture Global (VG) received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to start service on the remaining facilities at Calcasieu Pass LNG Terminal in Louisiana, Reuters reported Thursday, citing a filing.
The company asked regulators for permission to begin operations at the LNG export facility and TransCamero pipeline project last week, according to the report.
"Venture Global has demonstrated that the above-mentioned facilities have been constructed in accordance with Commission approval and applicable standards and can be expected to operate safely and reliably as designed," FERC said in the filing, according to the Reuters report.
Venture Global and FERC did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
Venture Global shares were down nearly 8% in recent trading.
