0836 GMT - European defense stocks face very little impact from the U.S. tariffs announced Wednesday by President Donald Trump, Citi analyst Charles Armitage says. This is because the U.S. imports very little military equipment from Europe and almost all European arms makers exposed to the country--mainly BAE Systems, Leonardo and QinetiQ--are U.S. domiciled, he notes. BAE Systems is up 1.3% at 15.91 pounds, QinetiQ is up 1.1% at 3.9 pounds, and Leonardo is up 1% at 45.07 euros. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
