Coles Group (ASX:COL) said that it has updated its policies and processes in accordance with the new mandatory Food and Grocery Code of Conduct.
In an emailed statement to MT Newswires, a Coles spokesperson said its teams have also completed additional training on the updates and requirements of the revised code.
The confirmation comes after The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said supermarkets and wholesalers that earned over AU$5 billion in the previous financial year must comply with the new
mandatory Food and Grocery Code of Conduct, effective Tuesday.
Shares of the firm rose past 1% in recent Thursday trade.
