BOJ Tankan Suggests Japan's Economy 'Firing on All Cylinders' -- Market Talk

0037 GMT - The BOJ Tankan released earlier suggests Japan's economy is "firing on all cylinders," Capital Economics' Marcel Thieliant says in a commentary. The Tankan indicates that an "increasingly overheating economy is creating strong price pressures," the head of Asia-Pacific says. Details of the Tankan were encouraging, Thieliant says, adding it showed "output prices" in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing rose. "With inflation set to overshoot the BOJ's forecasts and the Tankan suggesting that price pressures will remain strong, we think there's a strong case for a rate hike" at the central bank's April 30-May 1 meeting, Thieliant adds.
