Tony Zook has officially succeeded Chris Smith as chief executive of NeoGenomics.
The Fort Myers, Fla., oncology testing-services company said Tuesday that Zook, a board member since 2023, brings to the role more than three decades of experience in diagnostics and biopharma.
NeoGenomics had said in January that Smith planned to retire on April 1 and that Zook would replace him.
Smith will continue to serve in an advisory role to support the transition, the company said.
