Blue Star Helium (ASX:BNL) said drilling at the Jackson 4 L4 3154 development well at its Galactica helium project in Colorado reached a total of 1,260 feet, revealing increasing natural flow rates of around 190 million cubic feet per day, according to a Tuesday Australia bourse filing.

The projected stabilized flow rates constrained for production optimization are expected to be between 250 million cubic feet per day to 350 million cubic feet per day, with a maximum of 450 million cubic feet per day.

An initial laboratory analysis of gas samples from the well showed a helium concentration of up to 1.18% and a carbon dioxide concentration of 85.93%, in line with the firm's expectations.

It reported strong pressure build-up post-testing, which indicates high permeability and good reservoir communication.
