0926 ET - Conagra has been investing in capacity to restore service levels and rebuild inventory, including by adding more vegetable volume for brands like Birds Eye after consumption levels surged over the winter. The surge depleted Conagra's frozen vegetable inventory and led to out-of-stocks that weighed on volumes in F3Q. Adding more veggie volume for Birds Eye will help replenish inventory ahead of the Easter season, CEO Sean Connolly says in remarks ahead of an analyst call. Shipments in 4Q will benefit from the replenishment, though they may come with higher costs, the CEO says. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
