Boeing (BA) said Tuesday that a media report about fluctuations in its 737 Max production was not accurate.

"As we have said, our team continues to focus on production stability and quality as we methodically increase 737 production," a Boeing spokesperson told MT Newswires in an email.

The plane maker's 737 Max output has not hit 38 per month in this year and production has not recently fallen, the spokesperson said.

An earlier Air Current report said Boeing had advanced production of the 737 Max to 38 per month in February but that the pace had fallen back to 31 per month because of complications with installing wing components.

Boeing's stock edged 0.4% lower in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
