Advanced Micro Devices Closes $4.9 Billion Acquisition of ZT Systems

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) said Monday that it has completed its $4.9 billion acquisition of ZT Systems, a provider of AI and general-purpose computer infrastructure.

AMD said it expects the deal to be accretive on a non-GAAP basis by the end of the year.

With the closing of acquisition, former ZT Systems founder and Chief Executive Frank Zhang is now senior vice president of ZT Manufacturing at AMD, while former ZT Systems President Doug Huang becomes senior vice president of Data Center Platform Engineering, the company said.
