Gartner (IT) said Monday that worldwide generative AI spending is expected to reach $643.9 billion in 2025, up 76.4% when compared with last year.
The bulk of next year's growth is expected to come from AI-enabled devices like smartphones, PCs, and servers, which will account for 80% of the total, the company said.
Software and services will also see gains, with software spending projected to rise 94% to $37.2 billion and services growing 163% to $27.8 billion, Gartner added.
