Universal Entertainment (TYO:6425) appointed four directors and one audit and supervisory board member at its 52nd annual shareholders' meeting on Thursday, according to a same-day filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Tomohiro Okada remains president. Yoshiyuki Shouji, newly appointed as director, will oversee overseas business and legal affairs. Kuninobu Okuda joins as a full-time outside audit and supervisory board member.
The new structure aims to decentralize authority and speed up decision-making, with 12 executive officers handling business execution. Nobuki Sato becomes CFO, while Kazuyuki Yanagi will lead domestic business and development.
