Norwood Systems (ASX:NOR) said potential paid proof-of-concept trials involving its OpenSpan technology are under active discussion, although the talks are confidential and incomplete, with no definitive contracts executed to date, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company noted that it deepened its engagements with multiple communication service providers (CSPs) in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific in collaboration with Microsoft's worldwide CSP account teams.

Microsoft recently published an industry blog posting highlighting broad collaboration with global CSPs, including specific references to initiatives involving Norwood's OpenSpan technology.
