Automobile Stocks Drop Following Trump Tariffs

Toyota Motor (TM) General Motors (GM), Ford Motor (F), Honda Motor (HMC), and Stellantis (STLA) shares were down in premarket trading on Thursday following US President Donald Trump's imposition of a 25% tariff on imported cars and auto parts.

Shares of General Motors were down 6.6%, Ford nearly 3%, Toyota and Honda around 2%, and Stellantis 0.5%.

Trump said the tariffs on the imports will come into effect April 2.
