1239 GMT - Following President Trump's plan for a blanket 25% tariffs on all auto imports, Morningstar's Rella Suskin notes that Audi, Porsche and Ferrari import 100% of the cars they sell in the U.S. BMW and Mercedes derive around a quarter of their sales from the U.S., and while around 50% of their U.S.-sold vehicles are assembled domestically, most of their engines and transmissions are imported from Europe, Suskin says. Stellantis earns just under 50% of its revenue from the U.S. so is significantly exposed to the expected demand drop. Around 60% of its U.S.-sold vehicles are assembled domestically, Suskin adds. The U.S. accounts for a mid-teens percentage of Volkswagen brand sales volumes, with most of its engines and transmissions sourced within North America. Renault has no U.S. sales exposure.
