Entergy (ETR) said Thursday its chief nuclear officer Kimberly Cook-Nelson will become chief operating officer starting May 1.
Cook-Nelson will succeed Pete Norgeot, who is retiring from the board.
Cook-Nelson is currently responsible for the operations of the company's four nuclear power plans and five reactors in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. She has held a number of leadership positions in Entergy, including serving as vice president of the company's system planning and operations organization.
Chief operating officer for Entergy's nuclear operations John Dinelli will succeed Cook-Nelson as chief nuclear officer, starting May 1.
