Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) said its pilot program with Koch Technology Solutions delivered all technical requirements, producing high concentration and high purity lithium chloride eluate, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The eluate was produced at the onsite direct lithium extraction unit from lithium-rich brine from the Bosydaba number one well at its Green River lithium project in Utah. The unit achieved an average lithium recovery rate of 98% and a high rejection rate of key impurities.
The process produced about 43,500 gallons of lithium chloride at or above the specifications required by downstream processors, the filing said.
The pilot plant ran for over seven months to monitor performance across different climatic conditions, providing essential data for the operation of a commercial plant.
The company's shares jumped almost 10% in recent trading on Tuesday.
