ANZ Group Holdings (ASX:ANZ, NZE:ANZ) launched Digital Padlock, a feature that allows customers to lock down access to their accounts if they suspect cybercriminals are targeting them, the financial services company said in a statement Thursday.
The feature, which will be available in the ANZ App, ANZ Plus, and Internet Banking from the middle of the year, will disable digital access, stop unauthorized activity, block credit and debit cards, and notify ANZ's fraud monitoring system, Falcon, the statement said.
The Digital Padlock will not impact customers' future-dated payments, like loan repayments or direct debits, according to the statement.
