Telus Downgraded on Leverage, Cash Flow, Dividend Concerns -- Market Talk

1452 ET - Canadian telco Telus faces a number of balance sheet headwinds that limit its upside, says BofA Securities as it downgrades the stock to neutral from buy. The analysts cite what they call "unsustainable leverage" and a dividend yield greater than free-cash-flow, among other problems. But the analysts still think Telus can turn it around. "Balancing these headwinds are Telus' consistent execution and multiple paths available to narrow the gap to its targets over the medium to long term," they say. Telus sinks 5%.
