2344 GMT - Japanese stocks may rise as fears about the U.S. economic outlook abate for now and after U.S. stocks rallied sharply on Friday. Nikkei futures are up 1.0% at 37230 on the SGX. USD/JPY is at 148.58, compared with 148.62 as of Friday's Tokyo stock market close. Investors are focusing on any developments related to Japanese monetary policy ahead of the Bank of Japan's two-day policy meeting starting Tuesday.
