Uranium producer Kazatomprom's full-year profit and revenue surged last year on soaring prices.
Kazakhstan's state uranium company said Wednesday that its net profit surged to 1.13 trillion Kazakh tenge ($2.27 billion) in 2024 from 580 billion tenge the year before
As a result, revenue rose 26% to 1.81 trillion tenge, while operating profit increased 19% to 807 billion tenge.
The company issued a midterm strategy for 2025 through 2034 with the objective of focusing on uranium mining as its core business and expanding its rare and rare-earth metals segment.
