1213 ET - Avis Budget Group could benefit from tariffs if they raise used car prices, Deutsche bank analyst Chris Woronka says. The used car market is likely to experience price hikes if tariffs go into effect, and Avis could make gains on vehicle resales. The vehicle rental service can also navigate soft patches in demand by quickly adjusting fleet levels, Woronka says. If tariffs on cars aren't enacted, Avis is still well-positioned because recession fears would likely recede and consumer confidence would stabilize, likely driving more demand on and off airports, Woronka says.
