Baidu (HKG:9888) deployed engineers to Tesla's Beijing headquarters to improve its advanced driving assistance system in China, Reuters reported Thursday, citing two people with knowledge of the matter.

The Chinese technology giant is working to improve integration on Baidu's map information such as lane marking and traffic signals with Tesla's Full Self-Driving Version 13 software, the report said.

The value of the collaboration was not revealed, according to Reuters.

Shares rose 3% during Friday's morning trading.
