Primoris Services said Chairman David King has been named as its interim chief executive officer, succeeding Tom McCormick.

McCormick, who has served as president and CEO since 2019, will be separating from the company effective March 20, Primoris said.

King previously served as CEO from August 2015 until November 2019, and also served as president from August 2015 to April 2019. He has also served as chief operating officer, Primoris said.

Prior to joining Primoris, King spent several years at Chicago Bridge & Iron.

Primoris said its board is conducting a search for a permanent CEO, which will include internal and external candidates.

Also on Friday, Jeremy Kinch, chief operations support officer, has been promoted to chief operating officer, effective immediately, Primoris said.

Kinch, who joined Primoris in 2018, held the position of president of energy before being named chief operations support officer earlier this year.

Primoris provides infrastructure services to utility, energy, and renewables markets in the U.S. and Canada.
