Quantum Graphite (ASX:QGL) and joint venture partner Sunlands Energy received major project status from the Australian Federal Government for the Quantum-Sunlands Eyre Peninsula Graphite Hub in South Australia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The major project status, awarded for an initial three-year period, will help accelerate the company's efforts to secure $300 million in financing and meet the target of delivering 100,000 tonnes per annum of high-purity graphite by the first quarter of 2027, the filing said.
