HeraMED (ASX:HMD) has signed a collaboration agreement with Garmin to integrate Garmin smartwatch data into its HeraCARE remote pregnancy monitoring platform, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The partnership aims to expand health data for expectant mothers, enhancing continuous monitoring with metrics like heart rate, sleep patterns, and fitness activity, the filing said.
Using the Garmin Health API, pregnant women can share their health and fitness data from Garmin smartwatches, which will be integrated into HeraCARE's platform, providing expanded metrics such as heart rate, sleep patterns, and fitness activity, the filing added.
The agreement, which includes joint marketing and research, has an initial three-year term, with either party able to withdraw with three months' notice, the company added.
Shares of the company surge 18% at market close.
