Firebird Metals (ASX:FRB) brought in Sedgman to help in the technical marketing campaign of its calcining kiln in Australia and internationally, excluding China, as the firm seeks to commercialize the technology, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The calcining kiln design is currently under patent application, according to the filing.
It provides significantly greater energy efficiency than existing alternatives and the firm has completed trials of the kiln on a pilot scale.
The firm's shares fell 3% on market close on Monday.
