South Korea's manufacturing confidence rebounded in March, with the professional survey index (PSI) rising to 101 from 97 in February, driven by optimism in the information and communication technologies sector.
The ICT PSI hit 108, its first increase above 100 in five months, while machinery and materials remained below the threshold at 96 and 97, respectively, Yonhap News reported Tuesday, citing the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics & Trade.
Semiconductor and display outlooks improved, with display products surging 30 points to 115, while shipbuilding fell 7 points to 93, the report said.
