WALL STREET LITTLE CHANGED AS INVESTORS WAIT FOR MORE TARIFF NEWS
U.S. stocks are little changed in morning trade on Tuesday, with communication services .SPLRCL and consumer discretionary .SPLRCD sectors under some pressure as investors brace for further tariff news from the Trump administration.
Energy .SPNY is posting the biggest rise among S&P 500 .SPX sectors.
U.S. markets were closed for Presidents' Day on Monday.
Fed Governor Christopher Waller said on Monday that his "baseline" view was that U.S. President Donald Trump's new trade restrictions would have only a modest impact on prices.
Investors also are waiting for minutes due Wednesday from the U.S. central bank's last policy meeting.
