1325 GMT - InterContinental Hotels Group's acquisition of the Ruby brand should add around 0.4% to the London-listed hotel group's net unit growth this year, Jefferies analysts say in a research note. "This means the magic 4% net unit growth threshold may be achievable in 2025," they say. The group's results for 2024 came in line with expectations on sales, EBIT and earnings per share, the analyst add. Room revenue for the fourth quarter was 4.6% higher on year, exceeding consensus expectations of 2.8% and Jefferies' estimate of 4.4%. However, higher interest expense guidance for the year suggests pretax profit could decline by around 2.5%, the analyst say. Shares trade down 3.8% at 102.90 pounds. (pierre.bertrand@wsj.com)
