Sovereign Metals (ASX:SVM) said that test work found that graphite concentrates from its Kasiya rutile-graphite project in Malawi confirmed that it has the characteristics required for use in refractory applications, containing very low sulfur levels and the absence of other impurities of concern, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The test work programs were completed by ProGraphite and Dorfner Anzaplan in Germany.
The results will be used for customer engagement and potential off-take discussions, per the filing.
The global refractory market is the largest traditional market for natural flake graphite.
