HSBC to Redeem $2.45 Billion Worth of Convertible Securities

HSBC Holdings (HKG:0005) plans to redeem $2.45 billion worth of 6.375% perpetual subordinated contingent convertible securities on March 30, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Holders will receive the principal amount plus accrued interest up to, but not including, the redemption date.

The securities will be delisted the Global Exchange Market of Euronext Dublin on the redemption date.
