Emerald Resources (ASX:EMR) updated the ore reserve estimate for its Okavu gold mine in Cambodia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The estimate was updated to 14.5 million tonnes of material at 1.5 grams per tonne grade of gold for 700,000 ounces, an increase of 245,000 ounces after accounting for mining depletion. Its March 2024 estimate was 10.3 million tonnes at 1.7 g/t grade of gold for 550,000 ounces.
It also updated the mineral reserve estimate, with an open pit resource estimate of 10.8 million tonnes at 1.7 g/t grade of gold for 600,000 ounces and an underground resource estimate of 1.7 million tonnes at 5.5 g/t grade of gold for 310,000 ounces.
It estimates the open-pit life of mine all-in-sustaining cost of $966 per ounce.
It is continuing to drill at the site, seeking to extend the mine's resources and reserves.
