Levi Strauss announced a series of strategic leadership changes and expanded roles as it looks to become a more efficient omnichannel retailer.

Chief Product Officer Karyn Hillman's role has been expanded to include Merchandising in addition to Design, the clothier said.

Harmit Singh, chief financial and growth officer, will now also oversee the company's transformation program, which looks to accelerate improvements in the company's structural economics, and support growth and profitability goals, Levi said.

Gianluca Flore, Levi's chief commercial officer, will now oversee Licensing and Planning, and Bernard Bedon has been appointed as chief human resources officer, the company said.

The company also said Jason Gowans will now serve as Chief Digital and Technology Officer, overseeing both the digital and enterprise technology functions.

Levi's chief operations officer, Liz O'Neill, will retire after nearly 12 years with the company, and her position will be replaced with a new Chief Supply Officer, the company said, adding that position will be responsible for supply chain agility, improving service levels, fostering innovation and optimizing cost structure.
