The US Postal Service said it will continue accepting international inbound mail and packages from China and Hong Kong, reversing a previously announced supsension, the USPS said in a notice on Wednesday.
Earlier this week, the USPS indicated it would suspend all Chinese parcels, subjecting them to formal customs entry. The policy shift came after the introduction of a 10% tariff on Chinese goods.
The USPS said it will now work with the Customs and Border Protection to implement an efficient collection mechanism for the new tariffs to mitigate disruption in delivering the packages.
