China filed a complaint against the US over its imposition of a 10% tariff on Chinese products, the Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday.
The complaint came the same day China imposed tariffs of 10% to 15% on some US products, such as coal and liquified natural gas or LNG, and imposed sanctions on Calvin Klein maker PVH and biotech firm Illumina in what is widely seen as retaliatory measures against the US.
China also launched a probe into Google over alleged antitrust violations.
These developments came after US President Donald Trump imposed 10% duties on Chinese imports, which took effect on Tuesday.
