Nano Nuclear Energy (NNE) said Tuesday it is setting up a demonstration facility in Westchester County, New York, to test non-nuclear components of its four microreactors under development.
The company said the facility is expected to be operational this spring and will support research on key technologies, including the company's Annular Linear Induction Pump that is being developed under a federal program.
The plan follows Nano Nuclear's December response to a New York State inquiry on advanced nuclear energy, the company said.
Shares of the company were down 2.6% in recent Tuesday trading.
