Unitil (UTL) late Friday said it completed its $70.9 million acquisition of Bangor Natural Gas in Maine from a subsidiary of Hope Utilities.
The purchase of Bangor Natural Gas adds around 8,500 customers for Unitil as well as 351 miles of distribution pipelines and nine miles of transmission pipelines to the Unitil network.
Following the deal, which was first announced on July 8, 2024, Unitil now serves approximately 207,000 customers across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
