ViaSat Awarded $3.5 Million Task Order to Provide Low-Earth Satellite Communications Services

ViaSat (VSAT) said Monday it received a $3.5 million task order to provide low-Earth orbit satellite communications services through a partner network to support US Department of Defense missions.

The company said this is the first task order award for ViaSat under a 10-year contract that now has an expanded ceiling value of $13 billion. The contract was awarded in 2023 to various vendors by the US Defense Information Systems Agency on behalf of the US Space Force and Space Systems Command Commercial Satellite Communications Office, the company said.
